A Friday the 13th in December

It’s been a reflective couple of months while slowly transitioning True Believers into Cherubs. It was not a direction I expected my journey in tattooing/life in general to take but I feel like it’s one that feels right, the more I lean into it the more I know it was necessary. It’s exciting to realize and see where the shop is headed and even though it feels like we’ve back tracked in some areas. It feels good to get a fresh start. I’m glad to finally take a step away and be an observer of the old world of tattooing instead of a participant in it. I don’t know what this new future looks like for me and the shop but I am deeply enjoying watching it unfold.

Lots of fun stuff going on….some Friday the 13th action in a couple of days. I loved painting the $20 sheets together and these new $50 sheets from Rogelio and Josh are fiiiiire! I can’t wait to see what we will get to tattoo. I also am offering an old sheet I made when I was working privately at Ritual Aesthetics back in 2020-I did them solo and appointment only so it’ll be fun to tattoo them in the classic setting! If your interested swing by on Friday from 12PM-12AM to get one.

Rogelio and Josh have also been settling in more and made a super sick San Antonio inspired 5 sheet flash set. It has all of the Chicano flare we love with a home town touch. They loved making it so much they’re already pumping out another set! DM them on instagram to book one of these with them.

And finally we rolled out come gift cards…these were pretty hilarious to make, a lot of trial and error but I feel like they came out cool. I was going to make a relief print onto some magazine paper but ended up forgetting to flip the image before carving it so everything printed backwards! With some problem solving this is how they ended up…
